Temps in the 90s by Friday to begin the Independence Day Holiday Weekend

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Wednesday brings a sunny, muggy day in the 80s with a high of 86. This trend of mainly rain-free days and nights with increasing daytime highs continues through Sunday.

Hot and humid conditions and a few isolated showers or thunderstorms across the higher elevations cannot be ruled out. However, most of us will not see rain for the next little while.

Thursday and Friday (Independence Day) are forecast to be absolutely beautiful with clear sky conditions and no precipitation. Isolated mountain thunderstorm chances increase this weekend, but the overall chance of precipitation remains very low (less than 20 percent).
