CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- On Monday afternoon, the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for a special called meeting. Prior to the meeting there was a public hearing regarding the 2025-2026 budget.

The board approved the budget without two aldermen present, Eric Jones and Pat Donahue. Alderman Lloyd Lawson voted no on the budget. Alderman Vickie Heatherly, Alderman Beth Lawson and Alderman Josh Monday voted yes on the budget.  The total of the budget is $3.75 million.

At the meeting, the board voted to repeal the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System benefits for the part time employees. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/02/2025-6AM)
