JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- A Georgia woman has pled guilty in an attack on a Jacksboro man.

Kyrasha Givens, 42, entered the plea on Monday in criminal court.

She will serve 30 percent of a six year sentence following the plea.

Givens was originally charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, aggravated assault, theft over $10,000, vandalism over $10,000 two counts of assault, auto burglary and resisting arrest. She pled guilty to allof the charges with the exception of the attempted murder charge, which was dropped.

The charges stem from an April 2022 incident where police were called to McDeerman Road in Jacksboro.

Givens had allegedly stopped the Mitsubishi she was driving in the middle of the road and got out of it. As the victim started down the road, Givens began “yelling and cussing,” according to court records. That is when she reached in the car and punched the victim on the left side of his face.

The victim told police he drove away at that point and called 911. Givens gave chase at that point. Catching up to the victim on Shannon Road she allegedly “rammed the rear end” of his vehicle then turned around and drove off. However, the victim turned the table and began following her, the report said. He did so to “update Campbell County dispatch” of Givens location, the report said.

The two continued driving through the Jacksboro residential area. When they arrived at the McDeerman and Stone Mill Roads intersection, Givens stopped her vehicle, court records said.

Then at a “high rate of speed”  she reversed her car hitting the victim’s 2018 Altima. This move disabled the victim’s car.

A witness told police he heard “someone say to” the victim “something about killing a kid.” A second witness said she saw Givens “punch” the victim through his car window.

When police located Givens she was allegedly combative, refused to cooperate  and assaulted one of the officers. Authorities learned at the point the vehicle she had used as battering ram was stolen out of Georgia.

She has been in jail since her arrest in April 2022. Givens will receive credit for time served.
