Mrs. Geraldine Nelson, age 89 of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023.  She was a Member of Murrayville Baptist Church and loved quilting.  She loved and enjoyed her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren, and everyone affectionately knew her as Granny.  Preceded in death by Husband, Dewey Nelson, Sons, Roger Nelson and Michael Nelson, Great-Grandchildren, Daisy Nelson and James Keith Damron, Parents, Sampson and Katie Robbins Lawson, Sister, Delphie Nelson, Brothers, Luther, Letcher, Presley, and Lonnie Lawson.    

Survivors:  Children, Sandra Daugherty, Vickie Massengill, and husband, Michael, Jackie LeMarr and husband, Steve, Stanley Nelson, Mark Nelson, and Danny Nelson and wife, Wilma; 13 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.  Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 A Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at Bakers Forge Cemetery with Rev. Wade Walls officiating.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Geraldine Nelson.

  1. My heart and prayers go out to your family. Geraldine was one of my favorte aunts. I enjoyed going to her house when we were young and playing. She was always so sweet to everone.
