Fred “Bugs” Junior Wilson, age 65, of Rocky Top

Fred “Bugs” Junior Wilson, age 65, of Rocky Top, TN, passed away on June 21, 2026, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN, surrounded by loved ones.

Fred was born on November 02, 1960, to the late Mike Wilson and Vendie Duncan Wilson. Fred was of the Baptist faith, and a member at Oak Grove Baptist Church. He loved all sports. He especially loves playing basketball. He was a big supporter of the UT Vols. He is proceeded in death by his son Jordon Garrett Wilson, Brothers: Clarence, Paul, Donnie, Harrold Dean Wilson, Roger Wilson, and sister Julia Phillips

He is survived by his sons: Tory Wilson and Kaley of Rocky Top, TN, Johnathan Snellings and Leah of Knoxville, TN, and stepson Cody Snellings. Daughters: Jessica Wilson of Knoxville, and Nikki Wilson of Clinton, TN. Brothers: Marshall Wilson and Kay Wilson of Rocky Top, Bob Wilson and Amanda Wilson of Rocky Top, Tom Wilson and Felicia Wilson of Rocky Top, and Gene Wilson and Sharon Wilson of Rocky Top. Sisters: Nella Redden of Rocky Top, and Rosemary Phillips and Laymon Phillips of Rocky Top. The mothers of his children: Tammy Snellings and Yvette Wilson. Grandchildren Blake Wilson and Jordon Wilson, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm, at the Hatmaker Funeral Home chapel in Rocky Top, TN. The service will be at 4:00pm with Rev. Mitchell Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rocky Top, TN.
