A Fire Danger Statement is in effect this afternoon and evening for Campbell County and surrounding Tennessee counties and southwest North Carolina.
You are encouraged to refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can increasingly escalate under these conditions.
“Given these conditions, we won’t be issuing any burn permits until further notice for the City of La Follette,” said La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack on Thursday afternoon. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-02/28/2025-6AM-GRAPHIC COURTESY OF THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE)
