Eddie Michael Smiddy, age 60 of LaFollette, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born on December 11, 1964, to late Willie Smiddy Sr. and Almedia (Bolton) Smiddy.  Eddie enjoyed watching TV, his dog Sassie, and he was a member of Straight Fork Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Mitzi Smiddy.

He is survived by his son Parker Smiddy and wife Veronica of LaFollette; grandchildren Brayden and Gunner; step-son Josh Etters and wife Hollie of LaFollette; step-grandchildren J.J., Grayson, and Bekett; brother and caregiver Roger Smiddy; brothers Willie Smiddy and wife Melissa of LaFollette; David Smiddy and wife Tammy of LaFollette, and Ted Smiddy and wife Alta of LaFollette; sister Judy Bridges and husband Steve of Athens; and a host of several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday February 3, 2025, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Stacey Griffith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at Martin Wilson Funeral to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
