Doyle “Skeeter” Wayne Huckaby age 48 of Jacksboro

Doyle “Skeeter” Wayne Huckaby age 48 of Jacksboro entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his loving family on Monday January 20, 2025. Skeeter was a member of Shield of Faith Church and the owner of Doyle’s Tire Shop. He enjoyed working on the farm, running Wood Brothers Slaughterhouse and trading cars. The thing Skeeter loved more than anything was his family especially his kids and going on vacation as a family. Skeeter was an avid Tennessee Volunteers football and basketball fan. He loved giving back to his community and did so by coaching little league football and basketball.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Polk and Ada Huckaby, Corina Pigg and Harold LeRoy Crabtree, his grandparent in laws Silas and Mary Tipton, Cotton and Geneva Ford and Eugene Carroll.

Skeeter is survived by his loving wife Mimi Huckaby of Jacksboro; his loving children Alli, Hunter and Charliegh Huckaby and Hannah Milton; his loving parents Doyle and Theresa Huckaby of Jacksboro; his loving sisters Tasha Huckaby and Elizabeth of Jacksboro; his nieces and nephews Isaiah, Eden, McKenzie, Cannan, and Lilly, Andrew, Emily, and Sophie; great nephew Damian; his grandfather Leroy Pigg; his loving father in law and mother in law; David and Lisa Carroll; his grandmother in law Marie Carroll; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends and a community that loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends for Skeeter on Thursday January 23, 2025, at Shield of Faith Church in Jacksboro from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Adkins and Rev. Jeff Moser officiating.
