It’s often a real slow-go in the afternoon from I-75 through LaFollette

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Traffic problems on the four-lane were once again briefly discussed at Monday’s County Commission workshop.

Commissioners plan to vote on sending a letter to the Tennessee Department of Transportation and to the governor regarding the traffic problems that plague Caryville through LaFollette.

Commissioner Rusty Orick will be carrying this item.

Chairman Johnny Bruce said he had multiple people still calling him complaining about traffic. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/12/2026-6AM)

  1. It’s all about timing.
The traffic lights should be timed to control the traffic, don’t you think?!
    Just a thought…
And until it’s done, traffic could be controlled by officers directing the traffic!

  2. Traffic lights need to turn green and red at the same time. Between Towestring Rd. and Eagle Market, also downtown LaFollette.
Having the light green at Towestring and the light at red at Woodson Mall creates a jam.
