Campbell County Christian Academy can now receive Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarships
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Beginning this afternoon at one o’clock, parents wishing for their children to be considered for a scholarship to attend the Campbell County Christian Academy (CCCA) will be able to complete and submit an online application. These scholarships, on a first come, first served basis, are Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarships (school vouchers). “The scholarship program may provide the opportunity for some parents who want to send their children here who think that they could not afford to do so without the program. Many parents do not realize that the school does offer financial assistance, also,” said Donnie Poston, Head Master of the CCCA.
Poston notes that the CCCA is not for everyone, and that the school is here for those who want their children to attend a distinctively Christian school with high academic standards. The CCCA is limited in offering students needing extensive special needs instructions with hopes to grow financially so it can do so, according to Poston.
“Presently, we can offer lower-teacher ratios with specialized one on one attention. Undoubtedly we have one of the most educated, highly qualified group of teachers anywhere in the region. All of our teachers have a Masters or higher,” said Poston.
“We simply want to offer another choice for parents and students. We’re small and can only take so many students. We’re not in competition with public education or other private schools,” said Poston.

“Surely, we’re all wanting the same for all the children, and by working together, the children of Campbell County can be successful as the next rising generation. I will support and advocate for public, private, and Christian education as long as God gives me the strength to do so. Each succeeding generation needs all of us working for them regardless of the name on the door. That makes this effort at CCCA personal for me,” said Poston.
Poston explains that three things have driven his 52 years in education and his 75 years here on planet earth, Education of our children, health & safety of our children, and Christian service.
