Charles Harmon Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning after a brief illness. He was a lifelong member of Grantsboro Baptist Church. Chuck was a loving husband and father. He was a carpenter and started his own shelving company. He was an avid bingo player and loved to play slot machines. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Della Harmon (who raised him); brothers, Don Harmon and Tony Harmon; sister, Mary Lou Kidwell; son/grandson, Zachary Harmon; and granddaughter, Sailor Page Harmon. Son-in-Laws: Jason Woolley and Chris Dawson.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Cheryl
Daughters: Candy Gibbs and Husband Robbie, Cyndi Dawson, and Charlie Harmon
Son: Chuck Harmon and Wife Gabby Harmon
Son/Grandson: Jon Robinson and Wife Bethany Robinson
Grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley, Courtney, Dallas, Derrick, Jalen, Janna, and Husband Will, Allison, C.J., Carson, Caleb, Chloe, Easton, Asher, and Aspen
Great-Grandchildren: Jenna, Aliyah, Jaydn, Ikaika, Michael, Loreleigh, Lane, Kayson, Brixlee, Jackson.
Sisters-in Law: Karen Harmon and Pearl Harmon, Vicky Frazier and husband Rick
And a whole other host of family to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm-7 pm on Tuesday, August 26th, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home, with the Funeral service to follow at 7 pm in the Cross-Smith Chapel. Family and Friends will meet at 10 am on Wednesday, August 27th, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Miller Cemetery for an 11 am interment, with military honors given by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.
