LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- CASA of Campbell County has partnered with Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP) in collecting bedding supplies to be used for area children who are in need of a bed.

During the month of September CASA is hosting a bedding drive and collecting twin size bedding, and all donations will be given to SHP. Items needed include twin size comforter sets, twin size quilts, twin size sheet sets and pillows.

Each year SHP builds and donates hundreds of beds to children sleeping on the floor in not only our county but surrounding counties.

CASA Director Jan Jones said CASA “was proud to partner with SHP on this important project.”

“No child should ever be left to sleep on a cold hard floor and with the help of this great organization they brighten the eyes and smiles of children right here in Campbell County by providing them with a complete new bed,” Jones said, adding that SHP “helps many area families.”

“Working with CASA, I see the need for items such as this in family situations where all to often we may have grandparents  fostering their grandkids and they may be unable to go out and purchase a new bed or families that are trying to get their lives back on track and keep there kids from being split apart and need help with beds. I know I can always turn them in the direction of SHP for help,” Jones said

Items needed include twin size comforter sets, twin size quilts, twin size sheet sets and pillows.
