CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- On Monday night, the Town of Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for the monthly meeting.

After eight years on the job, City Recorder and Chief Municipal Financial Officer Trecia Kindred submitted her resignation. Until the town finds her replacement, Angelita Monday will be filling her shoes while maintaining her position as court clerk/administrative assistant.

Representatives from PCS, Inc. were present at the meeting to present to the board what they have to offer the town in technological improvements. The town had previously been receiving services from Hammrtech which went out of business.

The board approved applying for a Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) grant for $40,000 and approved a washer surplus for the fire department. The washer will be donated to another organization.
