Carl E. Stephens, age 89 of Jacksboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was born in Winfield, TN, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Stephens. Carl was a member of High Knob Baptist Church of Lafollette, TN. He also was a Free and Accepted Master Mason of Hoffner Lodge 253 in Ohio. He dedicated 62 years to the fraternal order.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his loving wife Vivian Ima Jean Stephens; sisters-in-law, Lorene Duene, and Jewel Ivey and husband Arthur; his mother and father-in-law, Owen and Verna Catherine Hill; sisters, Flora Stephens and husband Jennings, Beulah Vanlandingham and husband Art; brothers, Robert Stephens Jr and wife Edith, Ronnie Stephens and wife Gertie, Elmon Stephens and wife Katheleen, Paul Stephens and wife Orpha, Frank Stephens and wife Betty; sisters-in-law, Diane Stephens, and Judy Stephens; brother-in-law, Paul Waldroup.
Carl is survived by his: his daughter, Linda Privett and husband Steve; son, Tim Stephens and wife Vicky; grandchildren, Carla Taylor and husband Hugh, Jeremy Privett and wife Kim, Marlena Powell and husband Noble, Chad Privett and wife Kimberlee, Ashley Fisher and husband Rodney; great grandchildren Austin (Danielle) Baylie, Haley (Chris), Wyatt, Ethan, Raigan, Taylor, Maddie, Owen, Prater, Preston, Ashley, and Lauren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mtytle Stephens Waldroup; brothers, Herbert Stephens and wife Janet, Lloyd Stephens and wife Martha, Joe Stephens and wife Jackie, and Clyde Stephens; special friends and family Royce Stephens, Johnny and Velva Clear, and Buffi Daugherty.
The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11am–1pm with the funeral service to follow at 1pm with Rev. Dewayne Byrd and Rev.
