Bill J. Queener, age 72, of Jacksboro, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Bill spent many years with his wife Sharon, enjoying and caring for their property in Jacksboro- ‘The Hollar’, a place Bill always called his dream. He had a deep love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and exploring God’s beautiful creation. After many years of service, Bill was a retiree of LaFollette Utilities.  “His true wealth was in his generous heart. And what endless wealth he did have.”  He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Gladys McGhee Queener.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon Marlow Queener

Son: Levi and wife Kimberly Kirby Queener

Grandsons: Brooks Queener and Palmer Queener.

Brother: Tom and wife Deb Queener

Sisters: Nancy and husband Ken Starrett; Kathy Queener Wilson

Several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

At Bill’s request, a private Interment was held. There will be a celebration of Bill’s life on Monday, June 9th, at 9:00 am at Cove Creek – Hatmaker Point. This will be a time of sharing stories and pictures from the many memories that he has left us with.  At the family’s request, videos and photos can be uploaded to the tribute wall to be shared at the Celebration of Life.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to: Tennessee Wildlife Federation at www.tnwf.org or other organizations of your choice that promote hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities for youth.
