Brush fires at Chambers Road (Jacksboro) and High Knob Road (La Follette)

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- At this hour, 10 firefighters using four units with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service are battling a brush fire on the Lonas Young Park side of Goat Rock Bridge. The fire is contained and has burned about two acres.

There was a brushfire on Saturday afternoon near Goat Rock Bridge.
This truck burned up off Chambers Road.

“The fire will burn down to the rocks headed to Norris Lake,” said Captain Daniel Lawson with CCRFS.

The woods at a Chambers Road farm caught fire from a truck fire.

Earlier Saturday afternoon, the CCRFS was dispatched to a truck fire on a farm on Chambers Road. “The truck burned up and caught the nearby woods on fire,” said Captain Lawson. Firefighters with the Jacksboro Fire Department provided mutual aid.
