Erica Driscoll is principal harpist for A.R.T. and has also performed with The Who and Johnny Mathis

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Campbell County resident Erica Driscoll is principal harpist for The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University’s world premiere of “Black Swan – The Musical” in Boston.
A new musical adaptation of the 2010 psychological film thriller “Black Swan”, described as blending Tchaikovsky melodies with an electronic score, the play is based on Swan Lake ballerina, Nina, whose sense of reality is shattered in Darren Aronofsky’s movie (which was derived from the book by Guggenheim Fellow Jen Silverman).
Score is by Dave Malloy who described it as “oboe, harp, and electronics throbbing into psycho-techno beats”. Tony winner Sonya Teyeh is director and choreographer. Principal cast members are Melanie Moore as the fragile ballerina Nina; Amber Inman; and Jada Simone Clark.
Performances are at Loeb Drama Center in Harvard Square, Cambridge, that commenced with a sold out opening on May 26 followed by multiple dates stretching through July 5.
Driscoll is a professional classical harpist who moved to Campbell County in 2025, and returns to Boston and other areas in New England for gigs. She has performed with Andrea Bocelli, Weird Al Yankovic, The Who, Maria Callas in Concert: The Hologram Tou6, Johnny Mathis, Matthew Morrison (GLEE), and others.
She began studying the harp at the age of eight. Raised in New Hampshire, she performed extensively across Northern New England, including Boston Ballet, Portland Ballet, New Hampshire Music Festival, Symphony New Hampshire, North Shore Theater, Palace Theater, Symphony By The Sea, and the Portsmouth Symphony.
She received her B.M. in Harp Performance from The Boston Conservatory and a M.M. in Harp Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, PA, where she also served as an Adjunct Professor of Harp to the Music Extension Program.
