Live televised coverage Fri., 7pm, over WLAF via Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Two teams with 2 & 6 records are looking at each other the same way; there’s a good chance we could beat this team. Morristown East, a 6-A program, visits the Campbell Cougars out of region 3 in 5-A on Friday at Dossett Stadium
East is a 6-A team while Campbell is in Class 5-A, and the Hurricanes have played a tough schedule that includes a couple of one-point losses. “It’s not like they’ve given up the ship. They’ve played a lot of quality Tennessee football teams and have had chances to win some of those games,” said Mark Pemberton, Campbell’s Head Coach.
At Dumplin Valley, East lost a tight one to Jefferson County, 21-20 and lost a 34-33 heartbreaker at home to William Blount. Other losses came to Science Hill and Dobyns-Bennett. There are common opponents, Morristown East lost at Gibbs like Campbell did and fell at home to Lenoir City.
The Morristown East Hurricanes and the Cougars face off Friday at 7pm with Les Martin, Brent Allen and Josh Parker sending you live coverage beginning at 6:30pm over the 10 WLAF media outlets, the WLAF Doyle’s Tire Sports Network. Tune into AM 1450, FM 100.9, Alexa on your Amazon enabled devices and live televised coverage over WLAF-TV Channel 1089, 1450wlaf.com, Roku TV, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon Fire TV, and Twitch.
