Bridges to Recovery holding transportation fundraiser

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Local women’s ministry Bridges to Recovery (B2R) is holding a transportation fundraiser to raise money for fuel, maintenance and to keep the ministries transportation van running.

The transportation van is an essential tool for daily life for the women in the Bridges to Recovery Program and is “used to get residents to work, medical appointments, recovery meetings, court and church” keeping the residents “on their path to recovery and stability.”

Bridges to Recovery “is a Christ-centered, nonprofit residential recovery program for women in East Tennessee who are seriously seeking to change their lives after addiction. Its curriculum combines faith-based living, structured recovery activities, and life skills training to support long-term sobriety and reintegration into the community”

B2R’s “mission is to help women break the chains of addiction through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, emphasizing spirituality, connection, and healing.”

The program is “designed to remove stigma, return recovered role models to their communities, and prepare women for productive, independent living.”
