JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Several board appointments were approved at Monday’s Campbell County County Commission meeting.
At last week’s commission workshop, County Mayor Jack Lynch announced that Rob Woodson had resigned his position on the county regional planning commission.
Lynch nominated Mike Caudill, which commissioners approved on Monday.
Commissioners also approved for John Snodderly to be appointed to the Industrial Development Board to replace Jessica Stout.
In other business, commissioners approved a safety initiative agreement between the county and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
According to Lynch, it is a “general maintenance agreement” with TDOT that includes several road improvements on different roads around the county.
Commissioners approved a one-time paperwork waiver to the Ridgewood Fire Department, as it has been under new management. This is the paperwork required that the fire department submit to the county to receive funding. The county mayor and commission chair had met with fire department officials who had requested the waiver.
Commission Chair Johnny Bruce reminded commissioners that the Ridgewood Fire Department will host an open house event on April 26th from noon to 4 pm.
Commissioners also approved a waterline extension project in the Big Four. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/22/2025-6AM)
