Blessing of the Animals is Sunday at 2pm

St. Clare’s Episcopal Church hosts the annual event

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The annual Blessing of the Animals is this Sunday, September 29, 2pm, at St. Clare’s Episcopal Church.

Bring your furry family members, your pets, to be blessed by Fr. Bob Beasley. Come to St. Clare’s Episcopal Church at 103 South 6th Street, La Follette (The Wedding Chapel building).

“We are encouraging the community to join us bringing dog and cat food, blankets and/or cleaning supplies for the animal shelter. You can drop off any of the below supplies to the crate at the red doors of St. Clare’s,” said Beasley.

Suggested donation items include Purina cat and kitten food, dry; Pedigree puppy and dog food, dry; Tidy cat liter, clay; small fleece blankets from Wal-Mart (the cheap ones, $2.50 – 3.50 in price); Dawn, bleach, any laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
