At 8am sharp Thursday, long awaited paving prep began, paving begins Friday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The Beech Street project started at 8am Thursday including sweeping, prepping, patching and spot leveling of the entire 1.63 miles of the street. Paving is to begin first thing Friday morning.

Friday’s expected schedule is to start paving at the East Central Avenue end at the hospital and pave to the Beech Street Bridge.

“If at all possible, please avoid travel on Beech Street. Please us an alternate route to keep the project moving,” said Stan Foust, City of La Follette Administrator.

This work is taking place at the South 11th Street intersection.
