LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- WLAF celebrated 72 years of being on the air on Saturday, May 17, 2025, and even after all this time, we at WLAF are still working to serve Campbell County in the best ways possible. The newest addition to WLAF programming is Tennessee WildCast, a production of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) covering a variety of outdoor topics. WildCast is brought to you by Judy’s Grocery.

WildCast features host Jason Harmon, TWRA Communications Manager, and Don King, Multimedia Development Chief and longtime “voice of the TWRA”. They bring to the air a variety of guests covering a wide array of outdoor stories and expertise from fishing, hunting, boating, wildlife watching, wildlife management, and so much more. 

Other regular co-hosts include the regional TWRA Information Specialists, Amy Spencer, covering West Tennessee; Barry Cross in Middle Tennessee; Mime Barnes, from the Cumberland Plateau area; and Matt Cameron, with East Tennessee news and information. The show also provides periodic insight behind some of the wildlife management decisions made by our governing board, the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission. Recent guests include the Executive Director of the TWRA and members of the Commission.

The 30-minute program airs on WLAF AM 1450 and FM 100.9 on Saturdays at 5:30am and Sundays at 7:30pm, preceding Casey Kasem’s American Top 40, The 80s. In addition, WLAF airs Daily WildCast Xtra, which is a five-minute segment featuring more outdoor content Mon. through Fri.,at 4:30am and just after the 6pm CBS News.
