LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – On Dec. 6, Campbell County Deputy Brandon Gross went to Skyview Lane in LaFollette about Lauren Ashley Jones having an active warrant. Â Â When Gross arrived, the homeowner said Jones was in the back bedroom of the home.
Gross spoke with Jones who said she had a violation of probation from Knox County. A check of the records revealed she did have a warrant from Knox County. When asked if she had anything illegal on her, she said she had a bag of methamphetamine and pulled it out of her pocket and placed it on the nightstand next to her bed, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.
Believing there were more illegal drugs in the residence, the homeowner allowed Gross to search the home. A search of Jones room revealed several bags of white powdered substance, along with another bag of crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Drug paraphernalia was also found throughout the room.
Jones, 30, 381 Wildwood Circle, LaFollette is charged with possession of schedule II-controlled substance, mfg/del/sell controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and hold for another agency. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/13/2019-6AM)
