Moment of silence observed for LUB employee Joe Wilson

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Monday’s LaFollette Utility Board meeting started with a moment of silence for a utility employee, Joe Wilson, who lost his life last week.

LaFollette Utility Interim General Manager Keith Atkins read a tribute to Wilson and asked for a moment of silence in honor of Wilson and his 40 years of service.

“Today we honor and remember a truly dedicated employee whose 40 years of service at our Wastewater treatment plant reflected unwavering commitment, integrity and pride in serving our community. His hard work and quiet dedication helped protect public health and the environment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. While we celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind, we also mourn his passing with heavy hearts. His years of faithful service will never be forgotten.
