JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Two days remain to cast an early vote, and early voting runs through tomorrow, Sat., Aug. 1. There were 262 ballots cast yesterday on Thursday. The running total stands at 2,959 compared 3,584 votes cast at this stage in the August 2022 election.

Early voting hours for Friday are from 9am until 7pm at the Election Commission office at 129 Church Alley at Jacksboro and 2pm-7pm at Jellico, 410 South Main Street, in the Municipal building. Both voting locations hours on Saturday, the final day of early voting, are from 9am until 1pm.

Candidates are allowed to campaign but must remain 100 feet from the election commission building. Tents must be set up behind church. Candidates can not set up tents to the left of the building due to construction.
