JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Friday marks day seven of 14 early voting days with the last day to early vote being Sat., Aug. 1. Thursday featured another good turnout with 215 votes cast as the total number of early votes, so far, crossed over the one-thousand vote mark on Tuesday. The running total stands at 1,532 compared 1,825 votes cast at this stage in 2022.

Here’s a look at the August 6, 2026, sample ballot. Early voting began July 17.

Early voting hours for Friday are from 9am until 7pm at the Election Commission office at 129 Church Alley at Jacksboro and 2pm-7pm at Jellico, 410 South Main Street, in the Municipal building.

Candidates are allowed to campaign but must remain 100 feet from the election commission building. Tents must be set up behind church. Candidates can not set up tents to the left of the building due to construction.
