Four injured, one fatally, in early morning accident

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- One person died at the scene when a car left Towe String Road and ran into Cuckle Creek this morning.

It was a little after 1am Friday when members of the Campbell County Rural Fire Service, EMS, EMA, sheriff’s office and Tennessee Highway Patrol were dispatched to the 1000 block of TSR on the call of a single vehicle wreck. A Nissan, compact car, ended up in the creek just past the Cuckle Creek curve right before you get to River Road, according to one official.

One patient was airlifted to a Knoxville hospital with one patient being transported to La Follette Medical Center and one patient suffered minor injuries and was not transported. The fourth person in the car died at the scene.
