CAYRVILLE, TN (WLAF)- On Monday night, the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for the monthly meeting with a light agenda.

The first item approved was designating surplus items. Those items are a brush truck, a dump truck with a snowplow and a recycling trailer. These items will be sold on Govdeals.com.

Two other items on the agenda were approved. First was replacing a rear spring in Fire Engine 1, the cost is $12,000 from Driven Fire Trucks and Emergency Vehicles. Next was a vehicle purchase for the police department. The vehicle is a 2027 Dodge Durango bought on state contract for $42,629, equipment will cost $4,672 from Truckers Lighthouse and safety equipment will cost $2,600 from Truckers Lighthouse.
