JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell County Commissioners heard concerns about “animals at large” at Monday’s workshop meeting.
Regina Simmons, who lives off Water Tower Lane off Mount Paran Road, addressed her concerns to commissioners.
She complained about dogs running at large.
She said she was attacked by her neighbor’s Anatolia Shepherd and that her chickens were attacked by two other dogs. “I want to know what can be done about all these people’s dogs who are running lose.” Simmons said.
Commissioner Rusty Orick asked if the shelter’s animal control officer could trap the dogs.
Commission Chairman Johnny Bruce asked Animal Shelter Director Patricia Siwinski if she knew anything about it.
According to Siwinski, records showed “that Scott (Gunter) had counseled the individual with the dogs multiple times.”
Bruce asked if the shelter could send Scott out to set live traps if the dogs come back. Siwinski said yes. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/14/2026-6AM)
