Mike Milton was sworn in by LUB attorney Reid Troutman at Monday’s LUB meeting.
Brian Younce was sworn in as a new member of the LUB. Younce was also elected as the vice-chairman of the board.

Brian Younce was elected as the vice-chairman of the LaFollette Utility Board.

The new members were appointed by the LaFollette City Council after a special-called meeting held last week.

The LaFollette City Council approved a resolution last Monday removing Joe Snodderly from the board. City administrator Stan Foust said Jay Willoughby’s term was expiring in two weeks and Janice Walker had resigned. The council then nominated and approved the three new members.

Malicote is filling the new five-year term that Willoughby vacated. Mike Melton fills Janice Walker’s spot, finishing the one year left in her term. Brian Younce takes over Joe Snodderly’s place and will finish out his remaining 2.5 years on the utility board.

Also approved on Monday evening was to change the signature on the bank cards for LUB since the board members had changed. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/30/2026-6AM)
