Morris “Ham” Lynn Dison, age 81 of Briceville, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born on September 10, 1944 to the late Clarence and Anna Mae Daugherty Dison of Briceville. He was saved in 1978 and was a faithful member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church. In 1965, he was drafted to the U.S. Army, where he spent a total of 29 years in the military. He was most proud to have served. Ham was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather whose presence brought strength, laughter, and a love to everyone he knew.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Willie Bell Mundy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Winifred Dison, who was the love of his life for 59 years; his sons, Lynn Dison and wife Frances of Clinton, Rev. Mark Dison and wife Athena of Andersonville, Robert Dison of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Tyler Dison and wife Rebecca, Trey Dison and wife Cierra, Noah Dison and wife Sierra, and Brandon Dison; great-granchildren, Brantley, Colt, Callen, Oliver, Gigi, and Madeline; brothers, Clarence “Junior” Dison and Carolyn Queener, Bill Dison and wife Bea; and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Rickey Hayes and Rev. Danny Lawson officiating. His burial will be on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 12:30pm at the East TN State Veterans Cemetery.
