Billy Everette Gibson

Billy Everette Gibson, born on December 8, 1946, passed away on April 28, 2026, at Cumberland Village Health and Rehab. His life was marked by a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life particularly fishing, camping, and painting.

Billy’s journey was shaped by those family members and loved ones who preceded him in death: his wife Opal (Paul) Gibson, his daughter Teresa (Paul) Gibson, his parents Everette and Agnes (Stanford) Gibson, his brothers John Wayne Gibson and Jimmy Gibson, and his sister Patsy Gibson and his brother-in-laws Chet Paul and Edd Walden, and sister-in-laws Linda Gibson and Dean Gibson.

Billy was a cherished family man and friend whose presence enriched the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren: Christy Allen and her husband Dwayne, Bryan Gibson and his wife Brandy, and Allen Cordell. His great-grandchildren Ethan, Nila, Dylan, and Mia. He is further remembered by his brothers Ben Gibson and George Gibson, his sisters Barbara Adkins and her husband Billy, Judy Walden, Gail Paul, Regina Boshears and her husband Jeff, and Teresa Manis and her husband Rick, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
