JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Multiple 5th district basketball teams were recognized by county commissioners at Monday’s meeting.
Commissioners recognized the Jellico High School Boys’ basketball team for demonstrating exceptional skill during the season. The Blue Devils achieved an impressive 18-11 season and claimed the district 3A championship title defeating Oliver Springs.

The Jellico Middle School Girls’ basketball team was recognized for completing a record season of 10-4. The Lady Blue Devils finished their conference with an 8-0 district record to become district champions.
The Jellico Middle School Boys Basketball team was recognized for its achievement of an extraordinary 12-6 season. The Blue Devils achieved a perfect 8-0 record in district play. The team earned the 6A district championship.

Commissioners also recognized the Wynn Elementary Girls basketball team for demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship. Their undefeated record of 8-0 culminated in a championship game to secure the title of Campbell County Elementary School Champions.

The Jellico Elementary School Boys’ basketball team was honored on Monday evening as well. The team achieved an undefeated season of 8-0 and secured the small school championship claiming the county title.
