Ella Mae Byrge Poore, age 86 of Jacksboro

Mrs. Ella Mae Byrge Poore, age 86 of Jacksboro passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1940 in Clinchmore, TN to the late Rev. Tom and Minnie Rose (Davis) Byrge. Ella was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed arranging flowers and spending time with loved ones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Glenn Howard, her grandsons, Jody and Justin Bowers, brothers, Lamon Byrge, Rev. James Byrge, Marshall Byrge, and Clyde Byrge, and sisters, Catherine Byrge, Evelyn Jones, Carol Hutson, and Joyce Swangin.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Bowers and late husband, Todd, of Ohio, and Rena Henegar and husband Chuck, of Caryville; grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Dustin, Amber, Ashley, Tonia, Marshall, and Brandy; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Robert Byrge and Warren Byrge; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Cumberland Village, and special friend, Paula for their love and care.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM.
