Wayne Caldwell, age 82 of LaFollette

Mr. Wayne Caldwell, age 82 of LaFollette, born April 9, 1943, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2026. He passed peacefully at home with his loving wife beside him. Wayne enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, hunting, and spending time talking with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Connie Hamblin and Joan Caldwell, father and mother, Jake and Princess Caldwell, brothers, Claude, Verlon, Dallas, Haze, Danny and Lloyd Caldwell, sisters, Bertie Smith and Victory Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Ayers Caldwell; daughters. Kerrie Dykes and husband, Darrell, and Jessie Collins; son, Donald Caldwell (Jewell); Stepsons, Robert Muse and wife, Julie , Michael Muse and wife, Angie, Jason Muse (Jennifer) Stephen Muse and wife, Samantha ; grandchildren, Ashley, Jake, Chelsie (Nick), Isacc, Aaron, Clarissa and husband, Tyler, Chasity, Josh, Austin, Skyler, Joseph, McKayla, Alyssa, Elizabeth, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Aubree, Cayden, Anthony “Red”, Aurora, Avery, and Aiden. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Brother Don England and Bishop Delmus Bruce officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, March 19, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Broyles Cemetery for 12:00 P.M. Graveside Services and Interment.
