Age 89 of Newcomb, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Lafollette Medical Center.  She was born May 23, 1936, in Jellico, Tennessee.

Mother: Ethel (Rutherford) Lay

Sons-in-law: David Blankenship & George Blankenship

Brothers: Floyd, Earl, Carl & Roy Lay

     She is survived by:

Daughters: Shirley Blankenship, Cathy Blankenship, Carolyn Rains & husband Jerry

Stepdaughter: Joyce Ann Schovon

Grandchildren: Sheila Keller, Bud Blankenship, John Blankenship, Jared Rowe & Amanda Head

Eleven Great Grandchildren & Three Great-Great Grandchildren

Brother: Robert Lay & wife Jane
