Michael “Mike” Joseph Hakala age 66 of LaFollette

Michael “Mike” Joseph Hakala age 66 of LaFollette departed this life with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday July 14, 2026. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mike loved riding his Harley and watching his Tennessee Vols and the New England Patriots.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Betty Jean (Horner) Hakala; his brothers Robert “Butch”, Bruce, William “Billy”, Dennis and infant Craig.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Veronica Hakala of LaFollette; his daughters Tanya Hakala of Annapolis, Maryland and Kelly Hakala of Auburn, Massachusetts; his brother Henry “Hank” Hakala of Worcester, Massachusetts and his sister Shari Hakala Labovites of Worcester, Massachusetts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation for Mike will be Sunday July 19, 2026, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Graveside service will follow the visitation at Powell Valley Cemetery.
