Joanie Lee Thomas, age 56

Joanie Lee Thomas, age 56, departed this life on Wednesday December 3, 2025. She was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing crafts and being with her dogs.

Joanie is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Judy Sexton Dameron; brothers, James Branam and Ralph Dameron; and sister Nora Hager.

She is survived by her husband William Scott Thomas of LaFollette; son, David Thomas of Caryville; daughter, Judy Patricia Thomas of Knoxville; brother, Frank Branam of Ohio; sister, Karen Marshall and husband Greg of Caryville; grandchildren, Maddox Thomas, Tacari “Blaze” Thomas, and Kyren Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating.
