Lonnie Wayne Gregory, age 81 of Rocky Top, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 16, 1944 to the late George and Stella Woods Gregory in Franklin, NC. Lonnie was a member of the Coal Creek Lodge #492 and a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed watching westerns and wrestling, and he loved going to breakfast. He was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Gregory.

He is survived by daughter, Robin Hatmaker and husband John; grandchildren, Allison Evans and husband Nick, Alex Hatmaker and wife Baley; soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Maison Mae; and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Mark Stanley officiating.
