Maxine Suttles, age 74, of LaFollette, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Maxine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a love for painting, cooking, and finding hidden treasures at yard sales and thrift stores. Her heart was devoted to helping others
Maxine was known for her kind, gentle, and loving spirit. Her heart was truly one of a kind—full of compassion, patience, and grace. She was of Christian faith and a faithful member of Ivy Dale Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Belle Williamson-Leach; father, Warren Leach jr her daughter, Susan Fleming; grandson, Kevin Fleming Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Maxine is survived by her children, Becky Suttles, Jamie and Crystal Suttles, both of LaFollette, and Lisa Suttles of Kentucky; her grandchildren: Brandi Fleming, David Clear, Dalton and wife Lindsey Suttles all of LaFollette Jomal Harris; and great-grandchildren: Greyson Smith, Westin Begley, Jace Begley, Noah Clear, Jamison Clear, and Brody Clear.
She is also survived by her siblings: Phyllis Bailey, James David and randy leach all of LaFollette. In addition, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Maxine’s life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and quiet strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and Friends will meet at 9am on Wednesday, July 30th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Flat Hollow Cemetery for a 10am Graveside service and Interment. Rev. Jeff Bolton officiating.
