Darrell Raymond Riggs age 58 of Fountain City, Tennessee, passed away on July 12, 2025 at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center of Knoxville. He was born on December 30, 1966 to Roger Riggs and Brenda Joyce Riggs Snellings. Darrell loved fishing, sports, especially the TN Vols, he loved Jesus Christ his lord and savior with all his heart, and he loved to watch Christian tv shows.  He is preceded in death by his da Roger Carl Riggs, Uncles Richard “Dickie” Riggs, Elvis Snellings, John Harvey Snellings, Nephew Jerrod Lon Saunders, Grandmother Nell Bowling Riggs, Grandparents Archie & Katherine Snellings, Cousins Tara Dawn Snellings and Larry Snellings. Darrell is survived by:

Visitation: 4:00PM – 6:30PM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City, Tennessee.

Funeral: 6:30PM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Tackett and Pastor Chris Tackett officiating.

Interment: To follow funeral service at Oliver Springs Cemetery in Oliver Springs, Tennessee

  1. My heart goes out to Darrell’s family and friends.I have known Darrell for a year and a half. He will definitely be missed. Him and I used to talk about Jesus all the time. I took care of Darrell at Agape.. his smile would light up the room. Him and I prayed together so many times for healing. He is set free from his pain and he was very much loved
