Cougars to take on Heritage tonight after win at Karns

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF)- The Cougars, in desperate need of a district win, traveled to Karns on Friday night. Karns, who had not won a game this season, was hungry for a taste of victory.

Karns started fast, leading the Cougars by as many as ten points at one stage. However, Campbell responded extremely well, regaining the lead and growing it. 

The Orange-and-Blue never trailed in the second-half on their way to a 58-47 victory over the Beavers.

Campbell advances to 5 and 4 on the season, 1 and 1 in district play.

Tops in scoring for Campbell was Luke Browning with an impressive 19 point performance. Will Croley, your Mills Door and More Player of the Game, finished with 14 points. Gavin Cox totaled 12 points. Keegan Nelson contributed six points to the Blue-and-Orange victory. Jake Hatmaker totaled five points on the night. Gavin Owens rounded out the scoring column with two points. 

Up next is a trip to Maryville. Campbell heads to Heritage on Monday night at 7:30 pm.
