October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

WLAF’s Charlotte Underwood and Maggie Inscho, a domestic abuse survivor, after Maggie shared her story on Wednesday afternoon at the WLAF studio on North 5th Street.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Thirty-one years ago today, Maggie Inscho found her courage and “escaped” from an abusive marriage. Despite having two young children and feeling like she had “no worth and nowhere to go” Maggie reached her breaking point on Halloween and found a way out. With the help of family, law enforcement and her own sheer will to have a better life for herself and her children, she fought for her freedom and found her self-worth along the way. This is her story.
