JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Lines have been long for much of the early voting session, and that trend looks to continue on this last day of early voting. We may well see long lines come election day, Tuesday, November 5.
On Wednesday, 553 early votes were cast. The unofficial total of early votes is 8,091 entering today’s final day of early voting.
Early voting hours on Thursday, the last day of early voting, are 9am until 4pm at Jacksboro, the Election Commission Office, and at Jellico City Hall from 9am through 2pm.
All polls across Campbell County will be open on Tuesday, election day, on November 5, from 9am until 8pm. WLAF’s election coverage begins that night at 7:30 over radio, television and the internet. The line outside moves rather quickly. I have been outside every day except Friday and when it is long to the corner it averages about 20 minutes start to finish. Everyone working inside is doing a fantastic job with the high turnout. Please do not let the long lines keep you from early voting. Voting is always worth the wait.
