JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- “During the first four days of early voting we have seen many come to both precincts, Jacksboro and Jellico. The Campbell County Election Commission is pleased with the turn out thus far,” said Mallory Rosenfeld, Administrator of Elections.
Early voting runs through Thu., Oct. 31. Through the first four days of early voting, 2,582 votes have been cast. “We encourage voters to utilize the flexibility of voting ahead of Election Day as both of our precincts are open many hours. This option can be crucial to those who may face future conflicting schedules and unforeseen circumstances on Election Day. By early voting, you are ensuring nothing stands in your way of your vote being counted,” said Rosenfeld.
For voters in the City of La Follette, there is a Retail Package Store Referendum on your ballot. You will have the option to vote “to permit retail package stores to sell alcoholic beverages in the City of La Follette” or vote “not to permit retail package stores to sell alcoholic beverages in the City of La Follette”.
“We are looking forward to the next ten days of record breaking numbers,” said Rosenfeld. Rosenfeld reminds you to bring your photo ID; a U-S passport, a state issued photo ID (like a drivers license) or military ID.
“We encourage all registered voters to utilize the flexibility provided by the early voting period and make your voice heard,†said Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett. â€
