Early voting totals continue to keep pace with 2022 election

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Thursday marks day six of 14 early voting days with the last day to early vote being Sat., Aug. 1. Wednesday featured another good turnout with 204 votes cast as the total number of early votes, so far, crossed over the one-thousand vote mark on Tuesday The running total stands at 1,317 compared 1,560 votes cast at this stage in 2022.

Here’s a look at the August 6, 2026, sample ballot. Early voting began July 17.

Early voting hours for Thursday are from 9am until 4pm at the Election Commission office at 129 Church Alley at Jacksboro and 9am-2pm at Jellico, 410 South Main Street, in the Municipal building.

Candidates are allowed to campaign but must remain 100 feet from the election commission building. Tents must be set up behind church. Candidates can not set up tents to the left of the building due to construction.
