Trula Mae Collins, formerly of Speedwell, passed away on August 31, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Jesse Collins. Loving mother of Victoria (Gary) Sanborn, Connie (Al) Akers, Gary (Janet) Collins, James (Kristi) Collins, and the late Frank Collins. Mother-in-law of Linda Collins. Cherished grandmother of 14, and great grandmother of 11. Trula is preceded in death by her siblings, Earl Pierce, Walter Pierce, and Ray Pierce, and by her parents, John and Dorothy Pierce.

Trula was all about her family. She loved to cook and bake for them, she always made sure everyone got a plate before she ate. She would make enough food for an army and she made everything from scratch. Trula also made the best sweet tea, all her grandchildren knew when they went to her house, they would get some of her famous sweet tea. Going to garage sales was one of her favorite pastimes. She loved them, and even had her own throughout the years. She always went on Wednesdays because that was when all the good stuff was out! She will be deeply missed by her entire family.

Family and friends will meet 11 AM Tuesday, September 10th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Wilson Cemetery at New Salem Baptist Church in Speedwell for Graveside Services and Interment.
