‘Twenty-seven practices and three scrimmages until Halls’- Campbell Football Coach Mark Pemberton

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Cougars practice football this morning as well as Wednesday and Thursday mornings, and they’ll have the same schedule again next week. The five day-a-week practice schedule begins July 29 on Reynolds Field.

“I don’t like practicing in the afternoons at three o’clock when the heat’s at its highest. I like practicing in the mornings, even before school starts. We’ll see where we are at that time, because that way you can cut practice down to about an hour and a half,” said Campbell Head Football Coach Mark Pemberton. You can get done in an hour and a half what you can normally get done in 2 1/2 hours when you’re out there in the heat, because you have to take so many breaks, according to Pemberton.

“If you go in the morning, you can cut it down. You can get a lot of things done in a short period of time. But the heat is definitely a factor,” said Coach Pemberton.

Here is the latest Campbell roster.
