“Our students and teachers have put in a lot of effort, and these results show their hard work,†said Jennifer Fields, director of schools. “We are especially proud of the improvements in our 3rd grade scores, which reflect our focus on early literacy.â€
The district credits these improvements to effective teaching strategies, professional development for teachers, and better access to literacy resources. Community support and parental involvement have also been important in helping students succeed.
Looking ahead, Campbell County Schools plan to continue this progress with new programs aimed at improving literacy skills even further. These will include more tutoring services, summer reading programs, and the use of advanced technology to support learning.
“We are dedicated to helping every student succeed and will keep providing the necessary resources and support,†said Fields. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/18/2024-6AM)
